Decorative Paint & Microcement in Bali

Bali is the most mature market for decorative finishes in Indonesia. Villas, boutique hotels and restaurants here moved on from flat matt paint years ago; the strongest demand is for microcement, textured lime plaster, and surfaces that look natural and slightly imperfect.

What architects here usually specify

• LOFTA microcement for open bathrooms and kitchens — no grout lines to blacken, floor and wall read as one surface.
• ROKKA sculpted lime plaster for feature walls and stair backdrops.
• VELURA velvet for bedrooms, where a soft matt surface matters more than washability.
• SILOXA or CERAMIX on anything within two kilometres of the coast — interior paint on an open terrace fails in a single wet season.

Practical notes for Bali projects

Render must be at least 28 days old and below 4% moisture before any finish goes on — in the wet season this takes longer than the schedule usually allows. Villas on narrow lanes are delivered in 5 kg packs so the last hundred metres can be carried by hand. For long-term colour consistency we keep your batch formula on file for 24 months.
